Kristoffer Tarp

Sustainability Director

As Director for Sustainability at Advice, Kristoffer has close to ten years of experience in sustainability and is responsible for developing and managing sustainability projects in Advice.

Kristoffer has a clear eye for creating business value through sustainability whether through stakeholder and market analysis, strategic communication, public affairs, corporate communication, branding, or marketing. Before joining Advice, he worked on the more technical aspects of sustainability including ESG data management, reporting requirements, EU legislation, and sustainability investment business cases.

However, Kristoffer’s real passion is helping companies develop commercially viable sustainability programs and initiatives. To that end, Kristoffer works with Advice’s clients to develop solid (evidence-based) and effective approaches to communicating about sustainability. Communication efforts are often where companies can create value from their sustainability investments and performance.

Kristoffer also gets involved whenever projects have an international angle. In that context, he draws on his extensive international experience and understanding of geopolitics, which also shapes the whole sustainability agenda. Before turning to corporate sustainability, Kristoffer worked on peace- and statebuilding issues for the UN System, the EU, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, international NGOs, and global funds.

Kristoffer was previously Head of Growth and Strategy (Chief Business Officer) at C-MORE, a market-leading sustainability management software company and before that Nordic Director for sustainability at Japanese technology giant NTT DATA. He previously ran his own consulting firm and led the flagship SDG Accelerator program for the Danish Industry Foundation and UNDP.

He is also the author of the bestselling book, Forretning for Fremtiden (Business for the Future), and a prolific writer on topics such as data-driven sustainable business models, social impact, and societal transformation. He is a sought-after speaker, teacher, and advisor, sharing his expertise and insights with a wide range of audiences. Additionally, he serves as a professional board member and served as Chair of the Sustainability Advisory Board for a leading private equity fund, where he guided sustainable investment decisions and strategies.
