Laila has worked with Advice since 2022 and is affiliated as an Associate Advisor supporting our work mainly within the area of green transition. Alongside her work with Advice, Laila works on her own projects under the auspices of Steder Skaber Folk.
For more than 10 years she was an executive in the municipality sector in Denmark and has worked in all perspectives of welfare and management.
Laila works with businesses, who are in the field working with the green transition especially at the local level and in cooperation with local authorities.
Laila is something as rare as a specialist in local government leadership who understands countryside, suburbs and cities alike. Raised in a small village in western Denmark, Laila has served over a decade in municipal top positions, from director in suburban Helsinor, through municipal director at the rocky island of Bornholm, to downtown Copenhagen as Director for Climate at Local Government Denmark. Laila has contributed significantly to Paris aligned climate action plans for Danish municipalities to reach carbon neutrality. Laila is a board member of among other EWII, Trefor El-net Øst, DBC digital and Det Københavnske Teatersamarbejde.
