In collaboration with Abtion, we created ‘Windy Wings’. This Augmented Reality app lets everyone build their own wind turbine, play with the design and learn about wind energy in a scalable digital solution with a clear link to Ørsted's brand and core business.

Challenge

Did you know that one swing from an offshore wind turbine produces enough power for you to use your electric toothbrush for an entire year?

Ørsted works to create a world that runs exclusively on green energy. With every swing of the impressive wing catchers in offshore wind farms worldwide, Ørsted delivers power to your, mine and many, many other people’s everyday lives.

Ørsted wanted to convey this story – among other things, through an exhibition in Legoland. The goal was to get at eye level with the users and activate and educate the visitors, especially the 6-12-year-olds

Quote

“Kids can build their own windmill, play designer and learn about wind energy. With Windy Wings, we have created an augmented reality app where children can build their own wind turbine, play with the design and learn about wind energy in a scalable digital solution. We are pleased to see a clear link to Ørsted's brand and core business in the result.”
