We keep seeing new digital payment solutions, and there’s no doubt they’re here to stay. The competition becomes more widespread, which places great demand on the retail industry to quickly invest in new systems. At the same time, consumers must also adapt to new payment habits and platforms. But in record time, MobilePay has become a well-established and preferred digital payment solution among Danes.
Challenge
MobilePay has successfully grasped the young segment (the early 20s) when making private money transfers, but this group doesn’t really use the app for shopping. That's a bit unfortunate now that payment situations could be so much easier.
Insight
People tend to stick to their regular routines, which also applies to shopping. You automatically grab your wallet or payment card, so changing that purchase behaviour is easier said than done.
Solution
WE MUST CHANGE PEOPLE'S PAYMENT HABITS
Not by teaching them how to use MobilePay. But by reminding them to use MobilePay. And we must compellingly communicate that we can get people to talk about topics as boring as payment solutions. Therefore, we made a sensational graphic universe with small narratives that the target group can relate to based on tiny ‘snippets’ of the everyday life–created with a twist of subtle humour, executed in three short films, and tailored to all social platforms.
